ml: Textbook Utilization and Extension
Computer Education Techniques, Inc. has been organizing its libraries for placement into an enterprise database.
Empirical data and experience in teaching information technology subject matter from textbooks is being codified into relationships, heuristics, and algorithms for use in reducing cost, improving student learning outcomes, and providing immersive services.
The client organization selects the textbooks and the accompanying courseware.
A textbook is associated with one or more of the course search engine IDs/course titles. The standard
extensions to a textbook for teaching UNIX courses and training programs are
learning paths, technology updates, and reference cards.
There is a prioritized textbook reading available with each CETi dba SYS-ED UNIX course and training
program: pre-course, during, and post course.
Teach Yourself Unix in 24 Hours - A CETi recommended
textbook. |

These extensions are being developed and will be applied selectively. There also are
guidelines from the New York State Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision for augmenting
assessment validation: pre, during, and post course. CETi presentation slides include subject matter and examples from textbooks, source commercial software and purveyor websites and manuals, and OER: open education resources.
The client-employer requirement is return on investment. The work in progress strategy is placing this process and evaluation of data under the
control of accredited academia. This in addition to the client internal course evaluation process.
