The objective is to confirm technical accuracy of the software and provide independent value added content. This includes answering client/student/employer questions. The analysis becomes part of the CETi knowledge base and training service.
Open Source Software and Documentation
Leading market research firms report that between 80 to 90 percent of commercial software companies use open source components. 2 Incomplete or outdated documentation is a pervasive problem in open source. Ninety three percent of surveyed developers cite lack of documentation as the top reason developers gave for deciding against using an open source project. 3
