This is an area where Computer Education Techniques, Inc. has extensive experience.1 Software version specific examples and guidelines can be applied to business model information technology and data infrastructure. Digital technologies in conjunction with the internet are used to update and extend textbooks with a selective interpretation of source software company and open source purveyor documentation.

CETi Documentation and IT Training Services

Information technology textbook extensions, white papers, training aids, and client-specific documentation are used in CETi and SYS-ED training to provide return on investment - work performed for an employer.

CETi reviews commercial software company and open source purveyor website documentation:

Google Google open source software, Google Cloud Platform, and monorepo single repository.
IBM Corporation IBM manuals, IBM Redbooks, and trial software.
Microsoft Corporation GitHub, MS Docs (formerly TechNet), Microsoft Learn, Microsoft logo authorized published books, and trial software.
Oracle Corporation Sun Microsystems and Oracle Java Platform and language, Solaris, and trial software.

Subject matter from distributed white papers and reliable sources of report journalism are compared to trial software downloads and OSS: open source software documentation. The objective is to confirm technical accuracy of the software and provide independent value added content. This includes answering client/student/employer questions. The analysis becomes part of the CETi knowledge base and training service.

Open Source Software and Documentation

Leading market research firms report that between 80 to 90 percent of commercial software companies use open source components. 2 Incomplete or outdated documentation is a pervasive problem in open source. Ninety three percent of surveyed developers cite lack of documentation as the top reason developers gave for deciding against using an open source project. 3

ASF: Apache Software Foundation Apache Hadoop, Apache Struts 2, and Apache Maven.
Cloud Foundry Cloud platform as a service.
Linux-variants CentOs, Red Hat, SUSE, and Ubuntu.
Open Source Software Mozilla Foundation software, databases, and programming languages.
OpenStack Cloud infrastructure as a service.

Trial and open source software are used to develop examples and workshops in CETi technology partner and SYS-ED courses.
