Dear Karen,

Thank you again for your help in setting up a program to link to the 'CEMT' command. I knew there had to be some way in command level to accomplish this but I just had to find someone who could point me in the right direction. Even IBM was telling me that the process had to be created in an assembler routine.

Enclosed please find two program listings which I hope will be of assistance when dealing with this type of application. The first listing ('UTLFILE0') is the program which actually links to the 'DFHEMPTA' program. The second listing ('PRTSUBP1') is the program which does an interval control start containing the 'CEMT' character string and the process by which I submit the job procedure into the batch queue under the MVT/ VSE operating system.

I would also appreciate it if you would relay this information to Linda Bliden. We had some discussion about this when I was in the command-level course in May, and I told her I would let her know if I ever got it to work. Maybe one of you could bridge the difference between MVT / VSE and be able to give an answer to anyone wanting to do the same type of application under DOS/ VSE.

Thank you again for your assistance. It's good to know I have another reference to go to when I get stuck.

Sincerely,
