DATES:

CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Serialization and Persistent Documents
      • Use serialization to save an object to a stream.
      • There will be two parts to the workshop: 1- Saving one object to a stream. 2- Using another type of serialization to save a collection or list of objects.
    2. MFC class hierarchy
      • Review the class hierarchy and isolate the salient areas.
    3. Keyboard
      • Code a program which stores the users keystrokes, one keystroke at a time.
    4. CWnd class
      • Code a constructor for the CWnd class which captures all Windows messages.
    5. ODBC
      • Retrieve, delete, and insert data into a database using ODBC.
    6. Building and Using ActiveX Controls
      • Use C++ and MFC to create an ActiveX control and utilize it in a windows cased application.
    7. Templates
      • Use the C++ templates to enhance the MFC classes.
    8. DLLs: Dynamic Link Libraries
      • Code several methods and store them in a DLL.
