CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
Designing and Building a Website
Create a local website using the MS FrontPage wizard.
Create a website using the MS FrontPage wizard on an IIS server.
Examine and change the pages and folders created by the wizard.
Page Design and Working with Frames
Create a blank page and examine the <head>, <title>, and <body> elements in HTML view.
Create a blank page with frames and examine the differences in the structure of a page with and without frames in HTML view.
Create a page with a stationery heading frame, stationery menu bar frame on the left side, and scrollable main content frame.
Add hyperlinks to the menu items to display the appropriate content in the main content frame.
Creating Forms and Collecting the Data
Create a form for collecting user information.
Add textboxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, and list boxes to the form.
Based upon instructions from the instructor, set the appropriate validation rules to form controls.
Connect the form to an existing ASP.
Adding media and functionality to web pages
Add existing images to a page.
Add pictures from other sources to a picture.
Add multimedia content to a page and then set its parameters.
Reports and Collaboration
Acquire proficiency in creating reports and task lists.
Instructor will provide guidance on how to analyze reports.
Use the collaboration tools available in MS FrontPage.
Instructor will provide guidelines on assessing and implementing web security.
Animation and Style Sheets
Perform a link from a page to an existing style sheet.
Examine how the content of a page changes according to the style sheet which has been attached.
