CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Viewer Interaction with Parameter Fields
      • Process and use parameters fields with the Viewer.
      • Create parameter fields for the Viewer and use the parameter fields in record selection.
    2. Exporting Reports
      • Export data and reports into different file formats.
      • Export data to MS Excel and MS Access applications and an XML file.
    3. Reporting from SQL Databases
      • Process data from an SQL database using stored procedures.
      • Invoke SQL stored procedures and process the return resulttable.
    4. Create and use Business Views
      • Learn how to use Business Views Objects and Business View Manager.
      • Use Data Connection and Dynamic Data Objectives.
      • Manage reporting across multiple data sources and applications by simplifying data access, change management, and data-level security processes.
      • Integrate data from disparate sources and handle the promotion and demotion between development and production environments.
      • Learn how to control security at both the row and column level.
      • Build connections to multiple data sources, join tables, and alias field names.
      • Create calculated fields and then present this simplified structure as a Business View in Crystal Enterprise.
    5. Database Changes and Field Mapping
      • Understand processing logic when a database changes.
    6. Reporting from OLAP Cubes
      • Utilize a cube for accessing a multidimensional representation of business facts required to efficiently present data.
    7. Reporting from Proprietary Datatypes
      • Using XML data as the database, input the XML, display the information, and export the information as a report.
    8. Crystal Reports with ASP and ASP.NET
      • Learn how to interface ASP.NET with Crystal Reports.
      • Use ASP.NET for coding a web application which will display multiple reports.
    9. Crystal Reports with Java
      • Interface Java applications or applets with Crystal Reports.
      • Use Java for coding a web application which displays multiple reports, including reports with parameters supplied by the user.
    10. Crystal Enterprise
      • Develop reports using multi-tier reporting methods.
      • Develop reports using the Crystal Enterprise Multitier Reporting Method.
    11. Crystal Launchpad and Web Desktop
      • Navigate the Crystal Enterprise Launchpad.
      • Connect to the web desktop, navigate to the appropriate location, and select a series of reports for viewing.
      • Organize the web desktop.
    12. Administering Crystal Enterprise
      • Learn how to configure Crystal Enterprise.
      • Configure the system for alert notification which will be sent to the user who has exceeded the threshold statistic.
    13. Report Designer Component
      • Learn how to use the RCD: Report Designer Component for creating reports in Visual Basic.
      • Use Visual Studio for invoking the RCD to create a detail listing, summary report, and chart for the supplied database.
    14. Subreports
      • Create linked sub reports and linking based on formula fields.
      • Create sub reports based on formulas and allow the Viewer to drill-down the reports.
