CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Getting Started
      • Become familiar with the Crystal Report environment.
      • Process the main explorers and wizards.
      • Generate a simple report from a database.
    2. Text Objects
      • Design and process text fields in a report.
      • Become familiar with security in SQL Server and integrated security with the MS Windows family of operating systems.
      • Perform the following: 1- create fields. 2- Change the heading. 3- Format the fields and the heading. 4- Concatenate fields. 5- Modify parts of a text field.
    3. Sorting and Grouping
      • Sort the resulttable and produce reports with breaks and summarized data.
      • Produce reports sorted by multiple fields.
      • Print reports with summary information and summary and detail information.
      • Display a report in which the user can drill-down to the data.
    4. Creating Geographic Maps (Optional)
      • Develop a map and process map requests from the user.
      • Create a map and allow the user to drill-down to sub regions of the map.
    5. Formulas
      • Create formulas for calculating values and producing custom displays.
      • Use the formula editor and the formula expert for creating calculations.
      • Perform date calculations and boolean formulas.
      • Calculate and display running totals.
    6. Custom Functions
      • Use built-in functions and create custom functions.
      • Create a custom function to be placed in a library and which can be shared with other developers.
    7. Repository
      • Create a centrally managed location from which report designers can access, update, reuse, and share report objects; the Crystal Repository is a stand-alone database; MS Access is the default database.
      • Create a folder and then delete items from the repository.
      • Display a list of the objects in the repository.
    8. Analyzing with Advanced Selection Criteria
      • Become familiar with the Selection Expert.
      • Select records based on boolean logic, date range selection, range selection, and specified summary information.
    9. Visual Appearance of Reports
      • Format reports for visual impact and conditional formatting.
      • Conditionally add fields based on values in other columns.
      • Use the Highlighting Expert to emphasize rows of data based on a condition.
      • Use the Format Painter for formatting a report.
    10. Sections and Areas
      • Create complex drill-down reports.
      • Format a section with the Section Expert and develop a summary report with drill-down capabilities.
    11. Analyzing with Cross-tabs
      • Create and format a cross-tab report.
      • Change the default formatting.
    12. Creating Charts
      • Become proficient creating charts.
      • Use the Chart Expert to create a pie and bar chart which displays summary information.
      • Allow the user to drill-down through the pie chart.
    13. Subreports
      • Drill-down on a subreport.
      • Create a static subreport.
      • Create a linked subreport to provide real-time information.
