DATES:

CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. z/VM System
      • Examine the entries in the CP directory for a typical CMS virtual machine.
      • Identify and execute z/VM CP and CMS commands for typical users.
    2. Using CMS and its Commands
      • Tailor a CMS session with a personalized PROFILE EXEC, synonyms, and command defaults.
      • Write, test, and use CMS EXECs for the execution of programs and jobs.
    3. Manipulating Virtual Machine Resources
      • Send and receive files and messages.
      • Link and access minidisks.
      • Define SFS sub directories and create, access, and share SFS files.
    4. CMS Virtual Machine Configuration
      • Configure the storage required for different types of target audiences: users, administrators, and programmers.
    5. XEDIT
      • Use the XEDIT editor for creating and modifying CMS files.
      • Create a XEDIT profile which will customize an XEDIT session.
