CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. VSAM File Access
      • Sequentially read a KSDS dataset and check for exceptions.
    2. SORT Utility
      • Sort a set of data and dynamically load a table using the sorted results; ensure that table overflow does not occur.
    3. Advanced Table Processing
      • Code a sequential search without the SEARCH command.
      • Code a sequential search with the SEARCH command.
      • Sort data and dynamically load it into a table.
      • Use the SEARCH ALL command to search the data for a value.
      • Code a specialized search of a multidimensional table using the index technique.
    4. Language Environment
      • Utilize the execution report options to display memory usage.
    5. Subprograms
      • Invoke a dynamically called subprogram passing data using CALL BY REFERENCE and CALL BY VALUE.
    6. XML Processing
      • Parse XML data into a COBOL structure.
      • Generate a COBOL structure into XML.
    7. String Processing
      • Initialize a table by redefining values over the table.
    8. Performance
      • Check the timing of loops in a program.
    9. Debugging
      • Use DISPLAY statements to debug a program.
