DATES:

CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. REXXTOOLS z/OS Environments
      • Access z/OS control blocks using z/OS Service Functions in REXXTOOLS.
      • Display a list of directory members in a PDS or PDSE.
    2. Working with QSAM
      • Read and write a QSAM dataset and compare it to the techniques used in REXX.
    3. Working with VSAM
      • Read a VSAM KSDS directly.
      • Read a VSAM KSDS sequentially.
      • Display and use VSAM ACB and RPL options.
    4. Dataset Information Functions
      • Display the attributes of a VSAM dataset.
      • List datasets names based on a wildcard.
    5. TSO Services
      • REXX and REXXTOOLS/MVS used in batch jobs and tasks to produce ad hoc reporting job streams.
      • Use the REXXTOOLS ALLOCATE command for replacing TSO ALLOCATES in logon execs.
    6. REXX Development Tools
      • Create a custom utility for assisting COBOL programmers.
      • Generate a JCL cross-reference listing.
    7. Db2 Interface
      • Code cursors and the positioned UPDATE and DELETE.
      • Access and display SQLCA and SQLDA values.
      • Use the DB2INFO function to query the system for the subsystem names of the installed Db2 systems and for Db2 default values.
      • Retrieve all rows without a fetch loop.
