CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Dialog
      • Develop multiple dialog types: 1- SELECT 2- data entry 3- table list 4- informational.
      • Execute a dialog using REXX.
    2. Functions
      • REXX language for performing character string function processing.
      • Code and test an algorithm which includes mathematical formulas.
    3. Variables
      • Create and use stem variables in an application.
    4. Command Tables
      • Attach the local command table to an in-storage copy of the table.
    5. Panel Definitions
      • Design and code ISPF-like panels for an application.
      • Process dialog variables using panel REXX code.
      • Display a popup panel.
      • Position the cursor at the unprotected fields which are in error.
      • Create and use action bars.
    6. Message Definitions
      • Code an application using the standard error messages for editing.
      • Code an application using the customized error messages for editing.
    7. File-tailoring Skeletons
      • Generate and submit skeleton JCL for an application; the instructor will provide the application.
    8. Tables - Controlling ISPF Sessions
      • Add new panels and message libraries.
    9. Dialog Control and Data Flow
      • Pass data from dialog to dialog.
      • Pass data from application to application.
    10. The Role of the SELECT Service
      • Create a dynamic menu using SELECT services.
    11. ISPF Test and Trace Modes
      • Debug the program provided by the instructor.
    12. Compiled REXX Requirements
      • Compile and execute a REXX application using batch JCL.
    13. Display Services
      • Create scrollable areas and fields.
      • Code and test dynamic and extendable areas.
      • System variables are used for communicating between dialogs and ISPF.
      • Use the VGET and VPUT commands with applications.
    14. DSINFO
      • Enter a dataset name and display dataset attributes and information.
    15. Use these commands: LMCLOSE, LMCOMP, LMCOPY, LMDDISP, LMERASE, LMGET, LMMADD, LMMDEL, LMMDISP, LMMFIND, LMMOVE, LMMSTATS, LMOPEN, LMPUT, and LMQUERY
      • Perform library services for copying a library.
      • Display a dataset list.
