File Processing Features
Creation and utilization of AIX in a VSAM KSDS.
Code an application that allows the user to search using the primary key or the alternate key.
Using generic keys in a VSAM KSDS.
Code an application that access records using a partial key in the primary key.
Handling Exceptional Conditions
Handle conditions generated in the I/O program for processing AIX data.
Temporary and Transient Storage
Store data in a TS queue and browse the data allowing for displaying previous and next page.
Dynamic Storage
Allocate a specific amount of memory and store data.
Pass the dynamically allocated data to a procedure.
Channels and Containers
There is no explicit EXEC CICS API command for creating an instance of a channel.
An instance of a channel will be created implicitly when the commands utilized in this exercise are created.
The put container command for adding data to a container is used.
If the container named on the command does not exist, then it is created and the data inserted; its content is overwritten when the container already exists.
Db2 and CICS
The CICS/Db2 interface accesses Db2 data.

Parse XML data that is passed to a procedure.
CA-InterTest CICS
Prepare and compile a CICS program that generates a PROTSYM.
The program will be supplied by the instructor; it has multiple issues.
Debug and fix the program.
Use CA-InterTest to debug the program.
